Saw the Amityville Horror last night. Lots of good scary jump and grab your date’s hand/leg/knee/arm moments!
and this guy’s in it…
That’s right. Van Wilder’s in it. And for the first 15 minutes of the movie, that’s all I could think about. “What the hell is Van Wilder - star of Two Guys, a Girl, and a Pizza Place - 
doing in this flick??!?”
I mean, how can THIS guy be scary?!?
I’ll give him his propers, though. He did alright…

Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have to go hack my roommates into pieces with an axe…
Yeah, I saw it and I liked it, but I thought they could have slowed down the scares a little bit. I felt like they never gave us a break. Every turn, something scary. A little too fast and furious if you ask me. Let’s try suspense…

Hmmm. Have you read the book? I was afraid it would be too flashy and not follow the story. Since the story itself is creepy beyond creepy, I want a movie to follow the story without expanding on it.

Did you know Van Wilder is engaged to Alanis Morrisette? I live right near Amityville…but they claim that it’s not the REAL Amityville, but I just think they say that. It’s a pretty creepy town.

Jackie - I thought it was good, but agree that they could’ve toned it down a little, but I don’t think they could’ve done that too much, cuz it wasn’t THAT strong of a movie.
Becka - I bet the book is awesome, I’ve never read it. The scariest book that was made into a movie that I’ve ever read was “The Shining.” That book was freaking scary!

but ya its lke the book and the movie is more scary then the book
this is the first scary movie i had the guts to watch cos ocme on its THE AMITYVILLE HORROR
